This is one thing that I have been working on myself for years. I find it amazing those students that have this idea down - how much of a difference it makes with them and the jump they have on not only their peers but also plenty of adults too. I have a few of these examples every year in my classes. Kids that have a clue. They have this different look about them. They act differently. They talk differently. They are quietly confident and some are not not so quiet about their confidence. One thing for sure, it's inspiring for sure. They help me more than they will ever know.
Lessons in attitude. We get them every day, from all different sources. We get to (and should) learn from them. Again, these lessons present themselves everyday. It's up to us on what we do with them. I am focusing my attentions on learning about attitudes every day and many of my students are some of the best teachers too.
One thing that helped me lately and I've talked about it before. I've been trying to listen to some recordings every day from different podcasts to some audio books. A little bit on my drive into school each morning and I can tell you it helps tremendously. It's just like taking a bath or shower, it's just like eating... we need it everyday.
What are you doing to adjust your attitude everyday? What lessons are you learning on most day about the importance of attitude?? As always, love learning from others too... help me out. :-)
