What a GREAT quote to start out a Monday with. With this being the week where we will finally have this presidential election over and done with, it's a great time to connect to your personal happiness. One thing I think is crucial for all of us to do is to realize we are really the ones that are responsible for our own happiness. We truly the ones that make ourselves happy or miserable. It really is a personal choice. For those that think this election will change their lot in life, will change them from having a negative life to that of their world will be all happy and good; they have a rude awakening for sure. Some people think that if their favorite candidate wins, their lives will be all wonderful. I tell my students all the time, be responsible for your own success and happiness. Don't expect anyone, especially the government to do it for you. If we can understand that happiness is really a choice, we can start making better choices that will have lasting affects on ourselves and those that we come in contact with too. Remember, how we carry ourselves sends lessons to everyone we come in contact with. A simple smile is something that can transforms someone's day, and we might not even know that person. Being miserable, actually choosing that, takes work. Being happy, with a positive outlook, takes work too. Which amount of work will pay the biggest dividends throughout your life? Always interested in your thoughts and ideas on this. Let me know.
